The Ascott Limited (Ascott), the global hospitality business owned by CapitaLand Investment (CLI), has signed a hotel management agreement with Vietnamese conglomerate DETECH Group. The agreement marks the debut of the Oakwood Premier brand in Hanoi and establishes a new strategic partnership between the two companies.

The property, named Oakwood Premier Hallbridge Hanoi, is scheduled for completion in 2029. Set within a mixed-use complex comprising a hospitality tower and an adjacent office building, the site will feature 127 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The hybrid hospitality project aims to accommodate both short-term visitors and long-stay corporate executives or expatriates.

This new addition increases Ascott’s operational and pipeline footprint in Vietnam to 45 properties, bringing its overall inventory to more than 12,300 units. The development is situated in the My Dinh – Cau Giay commercial corridor within Hanoi’s southwest central business district. The district houses technology firms such as FPT, CMC and Thanh Cong Motor, along with significant Japanese and Korean business communities.

Located three kilometres from the National Convention Center, My Dinh Stadium and the new U.S. Embassy complex, the site connects to central Hanoi and Noi Bai International Airport via Ring Road 3. Planned facilities at the property include an all-day dining restaurant, a residence lounge, OakBar, meeting rooms, swimming pools, a fitness centre, yoga spaces and a kids’ club.

Mr David Cumming, Regional General Manager, Indochina, The Ascott Limited, said: “We are delighted to begin our partnership with DETECH Group with the signing of Oakwood Premier Hallbridge Hanoi. This milestone not only strengthens Ascott’s presence in Hanoi and Vietnam but also introduces Oakwood Premier to one of Southeast Asia’s most important corporate and diplomatic capitals. Together with DETECH Group, we look forward to creating a landmark hospitality destination that combines premium accommodation, exceptional service and the flexibility that today’s travellers seek.”

Ms Dao Ngoc Anh, Member of the Board of Directors and Director of International Cooperation, DETECH Group, said: “Our partnership with The Ascott Limited reflects our commitment to developing high-quality real estate and hospitality projects that contribute to Hanoi’s growth as a leading destination for business, investment and international exchange. Hallbridge is a project to which DETECH has devoted considerable thought and commitment. It reflects our vision of developing high-quality properties that combine distinctive architecture with a long-term commitment to sustainability. For us, Hallbridge is more than an investment – it is a statement of our values and a landmark for our city.”
