DRI has confirmed the completion of its 126 MWp Văcărești solar park in Romania, marking its fourth major renewable energy project in the country. This latest development pushes the company’s total operational capacity in Romania to nearly 300 MWp within just three years. The facility is expected to generate enough clean electricity to power roughly 50,000 homes while cutting carbon emissions by more than 48,000 tonnes annually.
PowerBank Corporation has announced the commercial operation of its first 1.45-megawatt rooftop solar project in Calgary, Alberta. Developed for Fiera Real Estate, the project serves as a pilot for future renewable energy initiatives within Fiera’s global portfolio. The installation will sell power to the local grid while generating carbon offsets through provincial environmental systems.
Repsol has agreed to sell a 43.8 per cent stake in its 629 MW Outpost solar project in Texas to infrastructure investment firm Stonepeak for $252.5 million (€220 million). The transaction implies a total asset valuation of approximately $775 million (€675 million), which includes tax equity proceeds from Production Tax Credits. This deal represents Repsol's second use of an asset rotation strategy in the US renewables market to optimise its financial structure and attract strategic partners.
Vietnam has inaugurated its first LNG power plants, Nhon Trach 3 and 4, in Dong Nai Province. Built by Petrovietnam at a cost of USD1.4 billion, the 1,624 MW twin plants will generate over nine billion kWh annually to stabilise the national grid, particularly in the south. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated the project is crucial for national energy security, supporting the country's rapidly growing demand from high-tech sectors.
ACWA Power and Bapco Energies have entered into a Joint Development Agreement for a major solar power plant situated in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province. Announced at the Saudi–Bahraini Coordination Council meeting in December 2025, the project’s initiative is to support Bahrain's national energy needs and accelerate its shift to renewables, while reinforcing its role as a regional energy export hub.
Industrial property firm CTP and energy provider ČEZ ESCO have officially opened a major new 5.5 megawatt (MW) rooftop solar power installation in the South Moravian region of the Czech Republic. The combined project, located across CTPark Brno and CTPark Brno South, marks the largest of its type in the area. The facilities are expected to generate over 5.2 GWh of clean energy annually, which is enough to power around 1,500 average households.
