Cushman & Wakefield has confirmed that Senior Director Aaron Barnard, SIOR, CCIM, has been appointed the new President-Elect of The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR). The one-year term on the SIOR Board of Directors began when he assumed the position at the organisation’s Fall 2025 conference, held earlier this month in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mr Barnard works from Cushman & Wakefield’s Bloomington, Minnesota office. He is a seasoned professional with 33 years in the commercial real estate industry. His work has centred on several US markets, focusing on investment analysis, project feasibility, leasing and marketing programmes, and development pre-leasing.

A member of SIOR since 2009, Mr Barnard previously received the organisation’s Robert P. Boblett Award in 2017.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr Barnard has been involved in the leasing of over 8.1 million square feet of office, medical, and mixed-use properties. The gross total consideration for these transactions exceeds $517 million in value. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas in the Twin Cities area.
