Kohler Co. has appointed Nina Kohler as Chief Executive Officer of Kohler Hospitality, taking effect in October 2026. In her new post, she assumes responsibility for long-term strategy, operational growth, talent development and guest experience across the company’s hospitality assets in Chicago, Green Bay, Wisconsin and St. Andrews, Scotland.
The appointment comes as Kohler Hospitality carries out a multiyear capital investment campaign at its flagship destination in Wisconsin. Recent property upgrades include the refurbishing of the Forbes Five-Star Kohler Waters Spa and the conversion of The Carriage House into an adults-only wellness retreat with 55 redesigned guestrooms. The firm has also reopened Woodlake Market as a gourmet marketplace and launched The Serve, a year-round racquet sports complex featuring indoor pickleball and platform tennis courts.
Prior to her appointment as CEO, Nina Kohler spent four years as a consultant and strategic adviser to the Kohler Hospitality leadership team. Her advisory work focused on brand positioning, design and modernising the business beyond its historic golf base into year-round recreation, dining and wellness. Under this strategic direction, the company delivered consecutive years of record financial performance in 2024 and 2025.
The hospitality division originated with The American Club, which opened in 1918 to house immigrant workers for Kohler Co. The property was transformed into a resort hotel in 1981 under Herbert V. Kohler Jr., laying the foundation for the corporate hospitality arm.
Further developments planned under the multiyear investment include adding 66 guestrooms and suites during an expansion of the Inn on Woodlake. The firm is also building Bucks & Birdies, an entertainment venue featuring duckpin bowling and racing simulators, along with Purebred Farm, a 14-hole golf course designed by King Collins Dormer near Blackwolf Run.
Outside her corporate role, Nina Kohler sits on the board of Old Course Ltd., serves as chair of PGA REACH, works as a trustee of Vanderbilt University and acts as a director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sheboygan County.
