Saudi Downtown Company has finalised an agreement with Ansab Company to deliver foundational infrastructure for the upcoming Downtown Al Khobar development.

The state backed developer announced the contract on Thursday. Under the terms of the project, Ansab Company will manage both the design phase and the physical construction of core infrastructure networks. The scope of work heavily features the design, implementation and illumination of roads across the site. The primary goal is to establish an integrated urban space that can comfortably support different commercial and residential structures to high international standards.

Local planners view the Downtown Al Khobar development as a significant addition to the local economy. The site aims to improve the city’s standing as a prominent destination for regular living and corporate business. It intends to provide an enriched experience for local residents, visiting guests and international tourists alike. The completed district will provide a wide assortment of public amenities. These include open green spaces, shopping zones, restaurants, hotels, schools and housing alongside cultural venues.

Ansab Company was selected due to its standing as a prominent domestic business specialising in large scale road networks and civil engineering. The firm brings extensive local sector experience, specialised teams and modern industrial machinery to the venture to ensure building standards match strict efficiency requirements.
