Greystar

Greystar has finalised a deal for the University Drive student housing project at Pennsylvania State University. Developed alongside JLC Infrastructure, the scheme will deliver 1,505 beds across 703 units in four podium-style buildings. This project is the second student housing asset for the Greystar infrastructure platform and marks the first public-private partnership housing venture for the university.
Global property leader Greystar has finalized the closing of its second pan-European value-add residential fund at over €2.7 billion. The pool of capital represents the largest of its type ever raised for the continent's rental sector. Backed by institutional investors, the vehicle equips the firm with an investment capacity exceeding €6.8 billion to target structural housing shortages across major European cities.
Greystar has acquired Native Communities to expand its third-party property management operations across Europe. The deal adds 9,000 homes across 37 UK assets to Greystar’s portfolio. This follows the recent acquisition of MD Property & Living in Ireland, marking a significant push into European rental management. The combined platform will provide services for both single assets and large-scale, multi-country portfolios.
Property giant Greystar has confirmed a new partnership with Dallas-based operator Lantower Residential to take over its management operations. The move will see Lantower exit the property management sector entirely. Greystar is set to assume responsibility for 23 multifamily communities which represent nearly 7,900 units across the United States. The transition began on February 17 and includes two sites currently under development that are expected to begin leasing in the first quarter of 2026.
