Chedi Hospitality, a global curator of design-led hotels, resorts, and branded residences, has appointed Stephan Schupbach as its new President & Group Chief Executive Officer. With over three decades of international experience in the luxury hospitality sector, Mr Schupbach will now lead the company’s long-term strategy, brand vision, and portfolio performance.
DarGlobal and Art District Real Estate Development have announced a major coastal project in Muscat, Oman, named MAD, the Marine, Art & Digital District. This extensive project, valued at OMR 1.6 billion (USD 4.2 billion), will transform over 1.5 million square metres of coastline over a 12-year development period. The MAD district is conceived as a multi-destination city that combines luxury residential communities, high-end hospitality, cultural venues, and advanced financial and digital industry parks.
EDITION Hotels has joined forces with Sotheby’s and DYNE jewellery designer Sarah Ysabel Narici to auction a unique luxury package, Verdant Reverie: The Gem of the Alps at The Lake Como EDITION. Estimated at $15,000 - $25,000, the item combines a limited-edition necklace chosen by Sotheby’s Vice Chairman Frank Everett with a two-night stay in a Penthouse at the new Lake Como EDITION property.
JW Marriott, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio, has announced a distinctive collaboration with Finnish design house Marimekko across Greater China as part of its "Stay in the Moment" campaign. The partnership integrates Marimekko’s joyful artistry with JW Marriott’s mindful luxury approach through a series of immersive guest experiences. These experiences include "Blissful Stay"-themed rooms and suites, pop-up installations, collaborative afternoon teas, and artisanal workshops across nine JW Marriott properties in cities including Shanghai and Hong Kong.

The move combines Cross’s lifestyle and luxury hotel expertise with Sono’s regional knowledge and operational strengths. With 28 properties across Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Japan, the partnership positions the brand for further expansion across Asia.
