Marriott International and LG Electronics have teamed up to create a cloud-based in-room entertainment and technology platform. The new system merges LG's hardware capabilities with Marriott's enterprise tech infrastructure. Rolling out initially as a pilot project across 40 properties in the United States and Canada, the hotel chain aims to eventually launch the technology across its participating global portfolio.
Marriott International has partnered with Shanghai SIIC North Bund New Landmark Construction and Development Co., Ltd. to introduce the world's first urban Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Shanghai. Set to open in 2030 within a 480-metre high-rise in the North Bund district, the 110-room hotel will make Shanghai the only city to host all eight Marriott luxury brands.
Blacksand has signed a major agreement with Marriott International to build ten new hotels across Saudi Arabia. The four-year multi-brand project will introduce more than 1,300 rooms across the country. Key properties will span luxury, premium and extended-stay sectors. The first location is scheduled to launch in Riyadh, with construction and design planning already underway to support national tourism growth.
Design Hotels has announced its largest portfolio expansion to date by adding 16 properties operated by US hospitality group Palisociety. The deal integrates over 1,000 keys across nine American destinations into its global network. The properties will gain access to Marriott International distribution channels and the Marriott Bonvoy travel loyalty platform.

Estimated at $15,000 - $25,000, the item combines a limited-edition necklace chosen by Sotheby’s Vice Chairman Frank Everett with a two-night stay in a Penthouse at the new Lake Como EDITION property.
