Arada has submitted initial planning applications for its AED12 billion Thameside West regeneration project to the London Borough of Newham. The first stage will deliver nearly 1,500 homes, including two buildings providing 100% social rent. Spanning 47 acres in the Royal Docks, the landscape-led masterplan incorporates a seven-acre public park, a one-kilometre waterfront walk and plans for a new DLR station.
The Government of Maldives and Abu Dhabi-based developer Eagle Hills have signed a commercial terms agreement for the USD 12 billion "Maldives Waterfront and Marina" project in Ras Malé. The mega-project features hotels, branded residences, a marina, and civic facilities under long-term 99-year leaseholds. Zaha Hadid Architects has unveiled the masterplan for Baku Expo City, a 198-hectare development in Azerbaijan.
