Masterplan

Zaha Hadid Architects has unveiled the masterplan for Baku Expo City, a 198-hectare development in Azerbaijan. The scheme accommodates population growth through diverse housing, community facilities and an expanded exhibition centre. Designed to adapt to local wind conditions and climate, the project preserves 92% of the site’s 18,000 trees while incorporating green roofs, renewable energy systems and upgraded public transport connections.
Aldar Properties has recorded AED 1.5 billion in sales during the initial release of The Canopies, a six-building residential community situated at Yas Point on Yas Island. The launch attracted strong international interest, with first-time buyers accounting for 84% of total sales across the development.
Aldar has announced Yas Point, a new six billion dirham waterfront development on the northern shore of Abu Dhabi's Yas Island. The massive mixed-use masterplan spans 600,000 square metres and will feature 1,600 residences, a five-star resort hotel and an international school. The project focuses heavily on walkability, incorporating three public parks and a 700-metre shoreline promenade alongside the first northern beach on the island.
Manchester United has announced the location for its proposed 100,000-seater stadium, situated 350 metres from Old Trafford. The venue forms the centrepiece of the Trafford Wharfside masterplan, a 150-hectare regeneration project backed by Trafford Council and regional authorities. The project aims to create 48,000 jobs and 15,000 homes, delivering a projected £7.3 billion annual boost to the UK economy.
A joint venture consisting of Frasers Property, CSC Land Group and Sekisui House has announced the upcoming preview of Dunearn House in Singapore. The 380-unit private housing complex is the first and tallest residential development planned within the new Bukit Timah Turf City masterplan. Located in District 11, the 99-year leasehold property will open for previews on 10 July 2026, with sales starting on 25 July 2026.
Construction has commenced on King + Park, an ambitious mixed-use masterplan development at the gateway to Burnaby, British Columbia. Joint venture partners Crestpoint Real Estate Investments, Vestcor and Anthem Properties celebrated the milestone alongside local officials. The transit-oriented scheme will deliver vital rental housing across multiple phases and includes the extensive refurbishment of a landmark 50-year-old local office tower.
