Vingroup has signed a rolling stock contract and Technology License Agreement with rail leader Alstom to supply 200 Metropolis trainsets for Hanoi's urban rail network. Under the deal, Alstom will produce the first 83 trainsets in France before providing technology transfer to enable Vingroup to manufacture the remaining 117 units locally in Vietnam.
