Global investment firm EQT has agreed to acquire Stockbridge, a U.S. real estate investment manager with USD 16.5 billion in fee-generating assets under management. The transaction features a USD 375 million upfront cash consideration, with up to USD 175 million in earnouts. The acquisition expands EQT Real Estate's global footprint across industrial sub-sectors, open-ended core funds and alternative residential markets including manufactured housing.
Developers have confirmed the signing of leases for the last two commercial plots at the Bay Meadows site in San Mateo. This announcement marks the final stages of a massive 20-year project. Once a horse racing track, the area has been overhauled into a modern community featuring housing, commercial offices and public green spaces. The site now encourages walking and public transport use for commuters.
