Hospitality management provider Cloudbeds has announced a partnership with Australian tech company Oolio, which currently powers more than 22,000 venues. The collaboration links Cloudbeds directly with Oolio’s Bepoz, Swiftpos and Idealpos point-of-sale platforms.
The agreement aims to streamline operations across hotels, resorts, pub groups and multi-venue properties. By connecting property management systems with point-of-sale platforms, the integration helps operators manage guest activity and track on-property spend across different outlets.
Through the direct API connection, venue staff can verify guest and room details directly from the point-of-sale system before posting charges. Eligible food and beverage expenses from bars, restaurants and other outlets post automatically to the guest’s Cloudbeds folio in real time.
This automated process removes the need for staff to enter transaction data manually between property management and sales systems. Automated handoffs reduce billing errors during busy service shifts and support diverse business models, including independent hotels, resorts and pub groups.
Sebastien Leitner, Vice President of Partnerships at Cloudbeds, said: “Hospitality businesses are becoming increasingly diverse, with accommodation, restaurants, bars and other venues all contributing to the guest experience and the economics of the property. Our partnership with Oolio connects more of those operations behind the scenes, while expanding the technology available to Cloudbeds customers across Australia. It’s about giving operators greater flexibility to run complex hospitality businesses without creating more complexity for their teams.”
Kris Satish, Group CEO at Oolio, said: “Hotels and resorts need their technology to work together just as closely as their teams do. By connecting Oolio directly with Cloudbeds, we’re helping operators remove manual steps between accommodation and food and beverage, while making it easier to manage the guest experience across the entire property.”
The integration provides a unified system for managing guest spend and helps properties with multiple revenue centres cut down fragmented billing.
