Homeward, an Austin-based real estate financing platform, has secured $120 million in Series D equity funding alongside $330 million in asset-backed debt facilities.

Alternative investment firm Saluda Grade led the $120 million equity round. Additional participation came from Continental General Insurance Company, Citi Ventures, Magnetar, Harmony Partners, Norwest, Adams Street Partners, LiveOak Ventures, Parker89, Era Ventures, Javelin Venture Partners and other institutional investors.

The company will allocate the $330 million debt facility directly toward funding residential home purchases. The equity capital will be used to enhance the technology underpinning Homeward’s platform and expand its financing products nationwide across the 48 contiguous American states.

Homeward’s technology suite integrates financial, mortgage and title operations. Its product line features three distinct financing tools: Buy Before You Sell, which provides short-term bridge loans and a backup purchase guarantee; Cash Offer, allowing sellers speed while retaining market upside on resales; and Buy with Cash, enabling buyers to submit cash-backed bids before refinancing into traditional mortgages.

Tim Heyl, founder and CEO of Homeward, said: “Guidance and expertise from trusted real estate agents will always be at the center of every successful home transaction. We’re agents ourselves, so we built Homeward to help fellow agents solve the real problems their clients face every day. This investment allows us to expand our cash offer and bridge financing solutions, helping agents win more business, deliver a better client experience and close more deals.”

Ryan Craft, founder and CEO of Saluda Grade, said: “Homeward is solving a financing problem that arises at a consequential moment for homeowners and their agents. Tim and his leadership team have extensive experience in this market and have made commendable progress in proving their operating model. We are pleased to support this exceptional team and are enthusiastic about the opportunity this asset class presents.”

Andrew Franklin, CEO of the Franklin Team at eXp Realty, said: “Every transaction presents a different challenge. We’ve completed dozens of transactions with Homeward because their cash offer and bridge financing solutions give our agents the flexibility to solve problems, keep deals together and ultimately achieve their goals.”

Since launching, Homeward has partnered with over 25,000 real estate agents and supported more than four billion dollars in residential transactions.

Chris Marti, CEO of NuMouve at Keller Williams, said: “In this slow moving market, our clients need to know their existing home will sell in time. Homeward gives us a guaranteed solution, keeping our deals moving. That’s how we win listings and get more referrals.”
