First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), one of the world’s largest and most secure financial institutions, has announced a strategic partnership between its National Housing Loans (NHL) platform and the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC), the custodian and regulator of Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector.
The collaboration marks a significant milestone in the UAE’s digital transformation agenda, introducing real-time digital integration to simplify and accelerate the mortgage experience for customers. The initiative will allow homebuyers to access verified property data instantly, validate mortgages in real time, and complete their transactions without the need for branch visits or manual data updates.
According to FAB, the integration consolidates various processes from multiple entities into one seamless digital platform, expediting approvals and enhancing convenience. The move is designed to create a fully unified and proactive customer experience, allowing for faster mortgage applications and improved service delivery.
FAB has also introduced electronic signatures and digital seals as part of the new mortgage process, a key development in its broader digitalisation strategy. The shift to paperless transactions aims to reduce the bank’s environmental footprint, supporting the UAE’s ambition for a green economy and demonstrating FAB’s commitment to sustainability.
Khaled Al Zaabi, Head of National Housing Loans at FAB, said: “This milestone reflects our commitment to reimagining the customer experience through innovation, advanced digital solutions and strategic partnerships. By fully integrating customer experience including the entire mortgage journey within FAB’s ecosystem, we are delivering a seamless and unified experience that elevates housing standards in the UAE, reinforces our leadership in innovation, and creates meaningful, lasting value for our customers and the wider community.”
The partnership between FAB and ADREC is expected to set a new benchmark for digital efficiency in the UAE’s mortgage sector. By combining cutting-edge technology with regulatory collaboration, the initiative strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a leader in smart government services and sustainable digital transformation.
