DAMAC Properties has announced the launch of DAMAC Islands 2, its seventh master community in Dubai. The project is designed to redefine waterfront living through a narrative inspired by eight picturesque global island destinations. These destinations are Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Cuba, Maui, Mauritius and Tahiti. The new development expands upon the success of DAMAC Islands. It combines lush tropical landscapes, crystal lagoons and spaces focused on wellbeing to create an urban retreat in Dubai. The concept maintains the sophistication and architectural excellence for which DAMAC is known.
The official launch event took place at the Coca-Cola Arena. It was hosted by Hussain Sajwani, Founder and Chairman of DAMAC Group and Amira Sajwani, Managing Director, DAMAC Properties. Star power was provided by Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, alongside celebrated Arab singer Majid Al Mohandis.
Amira Sajwani, Managing Director, DAMAC Properties, said, “DAMAC Islands 2 captures the energy of the tropics and the ambition of Dubai. It is more than a place to live; it is an invitation to experience paradise in the heart of our city. This project celebrates the beauty of nature while offering the sophistication and quality that define DAMAC.”
Designed with experiential luxury in mind, DAMAC Islands 2 will feature wellness pavilions, floating decks, open-air spas and nature-inspired sanctuaries. The community is intended to offer tranquillity and seclusion within Dubai’s vibrant urban context, which is a rare offering in a city known for vertical development. The master plan includes six-bedroom luxury villas of approximately 583 square metres, five-bedroom twin villas of approximately 324 square metres, five-bedroom townhouses of approximately 293 and 263 square metres and four-bedroom townhouses of approximately 203 square metres. Prices for the properties start at AED 2.7 million.
The launch follows a remarkable year for Dubai’s real estate sector. In the first 290 days of 2025, property sales reached AED 525.87 billion, which exceeded the total sales for the entire 2024 year. The third quarter of 2025 alone recorded 59,228 transactions worth AED 170.7 billion. This marks the highest quarterly value in Dubai’s history. Residential transactions amounted to AED 262.1 billion in the first half of the year, a 36.4 per cent year-on-year increase. Investor demand rose by nearly 26 per cent during the same period.
DAMAC’s existing communities have been central to this surge. DAMAC Islands led villa and townhouse sales in H1 2025 with 4,185 transactions, followed by DAMAC Hills 2 with 1,942 sales. The company’s developments have demonstrated strong value appreciation. Townhouses at DAMAC Hills 1 have risen 86 per cent and villas 72 per cent. DAMAC Hills 2 townhouses rose 60 per cent and DAMAC Islands villas 29 per cent. The launch campaign includes a global competition titled The Ultimate Islander. The winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip and a chance to live and work on one of the eight themed islands as a DAMAC ambassador.
This new development is poised to reinforce DAMAC’s legacy as a pioneer in lifestyle-driven luxury development, building on the Guinness World Record-recognised success of DAMAC Islands 1 in 2024.
