Banyan Group has announced the grand opening of its 100th resort, Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, with the launch of its first-ever Rainforest Festival, a week-long celebration running from 27 November to 3 December 2025. The event marks the group’s homecoming to Singapore and reinforces its long-standing commitment to sustainability, wellbeing, and community engagement.

Owned by Mandai Wildlife Group, the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree represents Banyan Group’s debut in Singapore and forms part of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a key destination for nature and wildlife in the city-state. The Rainforest Festival will serve as the concluding event of 100 Journeys, a hundred-day series of global activations celebrating Banyan Group’s milestone of 100 resorts and hotels across 20 countries and 12 brands.

All ticket proceeds from the festival will be donated and matched dollar-for-dollar by Banyan Group in support of the President’s Challenge, which supports 60 programmes across 52 charities and social service organisations. The Singapore Government will further match contributions under the SG60 Matching Grants initiative.

“The Rainforest Festival is our way of giving back as we mark our 100th milestone and a symbolic homecoming to Singapore. It also celebrates more than a decade of partnership and shared vision with Mandai Wildlife Group in bringing our flagship resort to life. The festival embodies our belief that travel can be a force for good – connecting people with nature, culture, and community. We are proud to support the President’s Challenge during SG60, honouring a nation that shares our commitment to a more caring and sustainable future,” said Eddy See, CEO, Banyan Group.

At the heart of the festival is the Discovery Trail, a self-guided experience through the resort’s eco-conscious design that showcases its harmony with the surrounding rainforest. Visitors will find interactive installations, birdwatching opportunities, and the Wishing Tree, a participatory artwork encouraging visitors to share messages of hope. Complementing this is the Banyan Gallery Showcase, featuring artisanal crafts from global makers that celebrate creativity and cultural heritage.

Weekend highlights include the Into the Rainforest by GREEN-HOUSE HangOut market, hosting ten homegrown brands offering sustainable products and DIY activities. Live performances from local acts such as Joie Tan, Jack & Rai, MICappella, and Heart Songs will feature on the Festival Stage, alongside youth musicians from Wolfgang Violin Studio.

Guests can also take part in wellbeing and family-friendly activities, including yoga sessions, spa workshops, and guided rainforest walks. The signature 100 Sun Salutations event will symbolise unity and gratitude, marking the group’s 100-property milestone.

Further experiences will take place within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, including wildlife park visits, behind-the-scenes tours, and children’s programmes such as ZooSchool. Proceeds from these paid activities will also support the President’s Challenge. Culinary enthusiasts can enjoy the Thai and Peranakan Culinary Journey Buffet, a collaboration between Chefs Alex Siah and Tipaporn Phianthong (Tipa), as well as a Rainforest Mixology Showcase by Vertigo Bar at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur.

The Rainforest Festival will run daily from 10am to 6pm. Tickets are priced at S$10 on weekdays and S$15 on weekends, with free entry for children under four. Visitors will also enjoy discounts on retail purchases and spa treatments. Full event details and ticketing information are available at banyantree.com/rainforest-festival.
