Keller Williams Realty, LLC (KW) has confirmed its latest European expansion by awarding a master franchise in Croatia. The move comes as the company continues to grow its international presence, which now includes more than 10,000 agents across the continent.

Boris Batelic has been appointed as the Regional Operating Principal for KW Croatia. The franchise is currently setting up its operations and expects to debut its first market center during the second quarter of 2026. Batelic is a seasoned leader with 25 years of experience in the technology, telecommunications and real estate sectors. He previously led Remax Centar Nekretnina and managed Optima Telekom through a pre-bankruptcy phase.

“The Croatian real estate market needs structural change, innovation, and a model built around agents and entrepreneurs,” said Batelic. “When I found KW, I found the right answer at the right time.”

William E. Soteroff, president of Keller Williams Worldwide (KWW), welcomed the new team. He noted that the brand helps entrepreneurs create predictable and scalable growth. Croatia becomes the 21st master franchise for the group in Europe. Other regional markets include the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Germany and several nations across the Balkans and Central Europe.

Batelic attended the KW Family Reunion in Atlanta before the launch. “At my first KW Family Reunion in Atlanta, I was deeply moved by thousands of people who were genuinely excited about our start in Croatia, and offered to help without being asked,” said Batelic. “That was such a strong display of culture, and I am honored to be part of the KW family.”

He added that his goal is to create a platform for professional growth. “Real estate is not really about properties, it’s about people,” said Batelic. “My vision for KW® Croatia is to build a place where entrepreneurs grow their business and agents have the platform they deserve, both locally and globally.”

As of late February 2026, KWW reported over 16,700 agents working across 257 market centers outside of the US and Canada. The global division is currently looking for further opportunities in Asia, Africa and South America.
