German automotive giant Mercedes-Benz and Dubai developer Binghatti have announced plans to build a multi-tower district in the Meydan area. The project, titled Mercedes-Benz Places | Binghatti City, represents an investment value of US $8.17 billion. It marks the second time the two firms have collaborated on a real estate venture following their 65-storey tower project in Downtown Dubai.
The development is described as a “city within a city” and covers a vast 10 million square foot site. It is Binghatti’s first masterplanned community. The design will integrate luxury residential towers with a wide range of urban amenities including retail boulevards, cultural districts and mobility hubs. The plan also features green corridors, sports zones and dining spaces.
The partners held a signing ceremony at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart to formalise the deal. This latest expansion follows the brand’s move into the property market in Miami and its initial Dubai landmark. The new Meydan district aims to translate the Mercedes-Benz design philosophy of “Sensual Purity” into a large-scale urban environment.
“Creating extraordinary experiences for our customers is at the core of who we are. With our next branded real estate project ‘Mercedes-Benz Places – Binghatti City’ in Dubai we are taking this promise to a new level – shaping destinations where our brand becomes something you can truly call home,” said Mathias Geisen, Member of the Board of Management Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
The project is designed to be self-sustaining with daily needs located within walking distance for residents. It will combine advanced mobility solutions with traditional community living. Muhammad BinGhatti, Chairman of Binghatti Developers, noted the importance of the continued partnership.
“To partner once again with Mercedes-Benz is a testament to our shared philosophy of excellence, precision and timeless design. ‘Mercedes-Benz Places – Binghatti City’ is envisioned as a world-class urban experience, a place where luxury and innovation converge to create a complete city within a city. This masterplan will become one of Dubai’s most distinguished destinations and a true symbol of elevated living,” BinGhatti stated.
An official launch for the masterplanned district is scheduled for 14 January 2026. This project moves the collaboration from single-building landmarks to an integrated residential ecosystem. It aims to offer a holistic brand experience that goes beyond automotive products into the lifestyle and architecture sectors.
