Principal Asset Management and Longevity Partners have unveiled REsponsible Asset Solutions (RAS), a joint initiative created to help institutional property owners evaluate and execute building decarbonisation plans.

The platform combines the investment background of Principal Asset Management, which manages $108 billion in real estate assets, with the technical engineering and procurement capabilities of Longevity Partners.

The business model was refined through trials across 14 institutional properties, applying rooftop solar and demand-side energy measures. Full rollout across these assets is projected to lower energy consumption by 37 per cent and generate over $10 million in added value at exit.

Unlike consultancy-based offerings, the platform utilises standardised contract frameworks and portfolio prioritisation tools alongside direct technical delivery. The service aims to assist real estate owners in meeting environmental objectives without compromising institutional return requirements.
