Rikaz, a leading Saudi Arabian real estate developer, has entered into a significant strategic cooperation agreement with PLP Architecture, a prominent global design firm. This partnership aims to give the new Rikaz Tower project in Al Khobar an exceptional architectural presence and a distinctive modern identity.
The announcement was made during Cityscape 2025 in Riyadh, which took place from November 17th to 20th. This collaboration is central to Rikaz’s strategy of developing high-quality lifestyle projects that align with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
The Rikaz Towers project is a major mixed-use development situated on Al Khobar’s eastern seaboard, close to the popular Corniche. The entire development spans 63,780 square metres and features two distinctive towers: one dedicated to private apartments and the other housing a luxury hotel and serviced residences. The project will incorporate a luxury hotel with 150 rooms and 80 branded hotel-serviced residential units, offering a unique combination of premium hospitality and upscale living. Residents will experience a fully integrated lifestyle, complete with high-end finishes, curated interiors, and amenities like a fully equipped gym and a state-of-the-art wellness centre, along with comprehensive hotel services such as housekeeping.
The two towers are connected by a series of activated podiums and a unifying canopy. The ground level is designed to create a vibrant public space throughout the day, featuring integrated wellness facilities, dining, retail, and workplaces arranged around shaded plazas and arcades. PLP Architecture’s design is inspired by the coastal environment, with the towers angled relative to the shoreline to maximise views of the Arabian Gulf and optimise solar control. The architecture includes curving façades and sculpted GRC spandrels that evoke the rhythms of the sea. Double-height terraces and stepped setbacks give the scheme a noticeable profile along the waterfront.
This collaboration with PLP, known for its human-centred, innovative designs, significantly enhances Rikaz’s portfolio. The new project, scheduled for an official launch in 2026, is expected to become a major destination for Al Khobar, shaping a contemporary civic identity for the eastern gateway of the city, and represents a strong investment opportunity in the region’s rapidly expanding hospitality market.
