SEGRO has completed and delivered Barnsteen, its newest logistics hub located within SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport in Hoofddorp. Alongside the handover, the developer secured a lease deal with NACEX by Logista Netherlands for space inside the newly constructed facility.

Under the terms of the agreement, NACEX will take 1,404 sq m at Barnsteen 11. The lease was finalised prior to the completion of the building, reflecting ongoing demand for modern logistics hubs near the Schiphol corridor.

Operating as Speedlink Worldwide Express B.V., NACEX by Logista Netherlands focuses on time-critical express logistics, delivering parcels and healthcare shipments across Europe. The company forms part of Logista, a Spanish logistics group employing over 8,000 workers across the continent.

The delivery of Barnsteen 9-12 marks the full completion of the eastern section of SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport. The scheme comprises four distinct units: two spaces measuring roughly 1,400 sq m each and two larger units of about 2,800 sq m. The completion comes after extensive planning and collaboration with municipal authorities and regional project partners.

Designed for high energy efficiency and sustainability, the complex operates completely gas-free. Each unit features dedicated photovoltaic solar panels alongside battery storage systems to manage peak energy loads. Beyond its Schiphol development, SEGRO manages logistics sites across the Netherlands, including locations in Eindhoven, Tilburg, Roosendaal, Breda, Venray, Heerlen, and Oosterhout.
