Hilton Hotels & Resorts has launched Junction Café & Provisions at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Developed by StiR Creative Collective, the all-day dining space combines retail with high-quality food and beverage services. The venue offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner alongside artisan products and La Colombe coffee. Hilton plans to roll out the concept to further US properties later this year.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that Executive Chairman Thomas J. Pritzker is retiring with immediate effect. Mr Pritzker will also leave the Board of Directors this May. Mark S. Hoplamazian, Hyatt’s President and CEO, has been appointed to succeed him as Chairman. The transition follows Pritzker’s forty-year career with the company, during which he oversaw significant global growth. Mr Hoplamazian will now lead the Board while continuing his duties as Chief Executive.
Hard Rock International has unveiled plans for an $850 million hotel, casino and residential complex in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Slated to open in 2029, the project features 415 rooms and 186 branded residences. The development aims to combine luxury hospitality with the island's vibrant music culture, offering a recording studio and event spaces. Construction will begin in mid-2026, creating over 3,500 total jobs for the local economy.
DarGlobal has unveiled Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Oman at its 3.5 million square metre AIDA development in Muscat. The 120-key resort, perched 130 metres above sea level, will feature themed suites, an Aqua Nick waterpark and character-led entertainment. Supporting Oman Vision 2040, the project offers full title ownership to investors. The first phase of the wider luxury community is scheduled for completion in 2027.
Marriott Bonvoy has expanded its footprint in Greater China with the launch of Artik Suzhou, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy. This opening represents the brand's first entry into the Asian market. The suites are designed for longer stays, featuring full kitchens and laundry facilities. It sits within the China Central Place complex, providing guests with proximity to major cultural landmarks and high-speed rail links to Shanghai.
CapMan Real Estate and Scandic have completed the full refurbishment of the historic Hotel Laajavuori in Finland. The project involved two phases of work to modernise guest rooms and public areas while preserving the building's 1970s architectural identity. Significant environmental upgrades, including 71 geothermal wells, have slashed energy use and shifted the property to entirely carbon-free energy sources.
