Vietnamese developer Sun Group and global hospitality giant Accor have signed a landmark agreement to expand their decade-long strategic partnership. The deal will add nearly 6,000 high-end hotel rooms and serviced apartments across Phu Quoc and Da Nang. Spanning mid-scale to luxury tiers, the expansion introduces several new lifestyle brands to Vietnam, significantly strengthening the country's premium tourism infrastructure ahead of major international events.
Rotana has signed a deal with Zawaya Properties Company to debut its branded residences segment in Saudi Arabia. Located in Makkah, the project will deliver 240 serviced hotel apartments within the SAR 26 billion Thakher development. The project targets growing demand from pilgrims and long-stay corporate travelers under the Saudi Vision 2030 tourism expansion strategy.
The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has chosen Minor Hotels to manage the Sharjah Collection, a regional portfolio of seven eco-focused boutique properties. The international operator will integrate the coastal, desert and mountain retreats into its luxury network after a series of upgrades, boosting global reach while protecting local heritage.
Saudi-listed Banan Real Estate Company has secured a 54.9 million riyal contract to develop and market a new hotel building in the Al Rahmaniya neighborhood. The two-year agreement was signed with Afaq Al Qimma Al Rabiaa Al Mutatawera Company, a subsidiary of the fourth Artal Real Estate Fund. Financial impacts are expected to lift company revenues from the second half of 2026.
Minor Hotels has expanded its footprint in Austria by signing the historic Grand Hotel Europa in Innsbruck. The landmark property will join the NH Collection portfolio and is set to become the city's only five-star hotel following an extensive renovation. Scheduled to open in 2029, the revamped luxury hotel will feature 120 rooms, a rooftop bar and a restored historic ballroom.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has officially opened Hyatt Place Jiaxing Nanhu, debuting the brand in the historic water town of Jiaxing, China. The new 241-room hotel expands Hyatt's presence in the Yangtze River Delta region, offering modern rooms, 24-hour dining and business amenities near South Lake.
