Newly launched real estate platform Alya has established its regional base within Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) to oversee its residential projects across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The platform aims to build high-end residential schemes using international development discipline and regional partnerships. Alya operates under institutional ownership and governance, choosing to target specific, high-quality projects instead of high construction volume.

Financial backing comes from alternative asset manager Brookfield and Abu Dhabi-based manager Lunate, which controls more than USD125 billion in assets under management. Operations at the Dubai base will fall under the supervision of the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the independent regulator for firms trading within DIFC.

Otto Dreyer, Chief Executive Officer, Alya said: “With the backing of Brookfield and Lunate, we are building a development platform held to institutional standards of governance and transparency. We are pleased to launch Alya with the opening of our office in DIFC.”

Salmaan Jaffery, Chief Business Development Officer of DIFC Authority, says: “DIFC continues to attract globally backed businesses that choose Dubai as the base for their long-term regional growth. Alya’s decision to establish its regional headquarters in the Centre reflects the depth of DIFC’s institutional ecosystem and its ability to connect businesses with the capital, expertise and partnerships needed to grow across the region. We look forward to supporting Alya as it builds its presence in DIFC and advances its ambitions across the GCC.”

Setting up within DIFC links the platform directly into an established financial zone as it expands its operations across regional markets.
