Alternative investment firm Arcapita Group Holdings Limited has announced plans to invest an additional $1.5 billion into the GCC industrial and logistics real estate sector over the next 24 months.

The announcement was made during the Gateway Gulf 2026 event held in Bahrain. The fresh capital commitment builds on Arcapita’s existing sector portfolio, which currently exceeds $2 billion in assets under management across the GCC region.

The expansion strategy focuses on acquiring and developing high-quality logistics facilities, with a strong emphasis on build-to-suit projects designed to match the specific needs of regional and international occupiers. Development and asset management will be handled by Lintara Properties, Arcapita’s specialised industrial real estate platform.

Hisham Al Raee, Chief Executive Officer of Arcapita, said: “We remain confident in the long-term growth prospects of the GCC and see significant opportunities emerging as economies across the region continue to diversify and invest in new industries, infrastructure and supply chains. Our planned investment of an additional $1.5 billion over the next 24 months reflects that conviction and will build on the strong momentum we have established across our regional real estate business.”

Isa Al Khalifa, Managing Director, Head of MENA Real Estate at Arcapita and Chief Executive Officer of Lintara Properties, said: “The industrial and logistics sector has demonstrated remarkable resilience over recent years, evolving to serve new industries and emerging demands, and establishing itself as a key pillar of economic growth across the GCC. The growing emphasis on supply chain resilience, regional self-sufficiency and operational redundancy is further accelerating demand for modern industrial and logistics infrastructure, as businesses look to strengthen their supply chains and ensure continuity of operations. At the same time, the supply of modern, institutional-quality facilities remains limited in several GCC markets, creating significant opportunities to address this gap through high-quality, purpose-built developments that meet the evolving operational requirements of leading regional and international businesses.”

The new program follows several developments across the firm’s MENA portfolio during 2026. Arcapita started work on the 1.4 million square metre ASMO hub at King Salman Energy Park in Saudi Arabia, handed over a 30,000 square metre facility for DSV in Jebel Ali Free Zone, and broke ground on a 20,000 square metre Grade A center for DP World in Jafza.

Launched in October 2025, Lintara Properties manages 6.6 million square feet across 32 sites in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The platform provides end-to-end solutions for occupiers and will lead the origination and management of the new $1.5 billion pipeline.
