International hotel operator Minor Hotels has secured a hotel management agreement with Amal Group of Companies to open Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket, Minor Reserve Collection.
The deal brings the group’s new luxury collection brand to Asia for the first time. Slated to open in 2031, the 310-key development will be located in Bang Tao on Phuket’s west coast, situated 250 metres from the shoreline.
The newly constructed resort is set to serve as the hospitality anchor for the wider Gardens of Eden project, a 33-acre integrated luxury living and wellness destination. The masterplan also encompasses Etro Residences and Gardens of Eden Residences.
The property will feature a 100-key hotel alongside 210 one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, which will be operated as part of the resort inventory. Guest facilities will focus heavily on health and well-being, highlighted by a dedicated wellness centre spanning more than 5,000 square metres. Food and beverage options planned for the resort include an all-day dining restaurant, two speciality venues, an organic café and a lobby lounge.
Architectural firm Tierra Design, led by Martin Palleros, has designed the scheme to reflect the natural environment of Bang Tao. The site is positioned adjacent to a protected national park, offering access to Laguna Phuket and Phuket International Airport.
Omar Romero, Chief Development & Luxury Officer, Minor Hotels, said: “Thailand is home for Minor Hotels, so introducing the new Gardens of Eden Phuket, Minor Reserve Collection to the kingdom is a significant milestone for our company and our luxury brand strategy.
