Minor Hotels has launched the Colbert Collection, a new global premium brand debuting in Italy in spring 2026. Inspired by iconic European bistros, the collection focuses on independent hotels that prioritise cultural and culinary expression. This move marks a shift towards asset-light growth, allowing independent owners to access global distribution systems while maintaining their unique local identity across future sites in the UK, Spain, Austria and the UAE.
Minor Hotels has announced the global launch of The Wolseley Hotels, with its first property opening in New York City in 2027. Located in Midtown Manhattan, the flagship will occupy a historic 1905 landmark. The development features 76 rooms and the first United States location of the celebrated Wolseley restaurant, marking a major milestone in the brand’s international expansion.
Minor Hotels has confirmed the signing of NH Collection Pemba Island Resort in Tanzania. This 145-key property is scheduled to open in February 2030 and marks the brand's first entry into the country. Developed alongside Infinity Developments, the resort aims to offer a refined escape while maintaining the island's low-impact tourism character. The project follows the partnership's previous ultra-luxury development, Anantara Zanzibar Resort & Residences.
Minor Hotels has confirmed it will assume management of NH Hua Hin on 16 January 2026. The 152-room property is located in Thailand’s royal seaside town and offers a range of modern accommodation including family rooms and one-bedroom suites. Facilities include three dining outlets, a rooftop infinity pool and a dedicated Kids’ Club.
Minor Hotels has signed a joint venture with SUNRISE Resorts & Cruises to develop up to 50 hotels across Egypt, including Anantara Hotels & Resorts and Nile cruise operations, aiming to elevate the country’s luxury hospitality sector.
