IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to debut its Kimpton brand in Morocco following a strategic agreement with Sirayane Hospitality. The 67-room Kimpton Marrakech will open in late 2026, offering a luxury lifestyle experience south of the city's historic centre. Featuring a rooftop restaurant and views of the Atlas Mountains, the project highlights the growing international demand for boutique hotels in North Africa.
REMAX® has expanded into North Africa with the sale of REMAX Morocco, a new master franchise headquartered in Casablanca. Led by Rachida Khalil and Bilal Dabri, the venture aims to establish more than 100 franchises and recruit over 1,000 agents, further strengthening REMAX’s position as the world’s most productive real estate network.
Morocco has regained investment-grade status from Standard & Poor’s, with the agency raising its sovereign rating to BBB-/A-3. The move restores a label lost in 2021 and makes Morocco the only African borrower currently rated investment-grade by S&P.
The first North Africa Smart Infrastructure Summit opened in Rabat on 10 September 2025, spotlighting Morocco’s achievements and future priorities in sustainable infrastructure, transport, and logistics.
