Hilton has marked the lifestyle brand’s debut in Medellín, Colombia, with the opening of the 111-suite York Medellin, Curio Collection by Hilton. This is the 27th Hilton property in Colombia and the third Curio Collection hotel in the country. Situated in the exclusive El Poblado neighbourhood, the hotel features stylish suites, fully equipped kitchens, and smart technology.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of InterContinental Prague, bringing the iconic luxury brand back to the Czech capital. The 137-key property, set to open in the first half of 2029, is a partnership with Generali Real Estate and involves the extensive transformation of a historic building in Prague’s Old Town dating back to 1839. This key signing strengthens IHG’s luxury portfolio in Central and Eastern Europe.
Ciel Dubai Marina, the world’s tallest hotel, has officially opened as part of IHG’s Vignette Collection. The 377-metre landmark, developed by The First Group, features 82 floors and one of the world’s highest infinity pools. The hotel offers several destination dining venues, including the UK-born Asian restaurant Tattu, which culminates in the Sky Lounge & Terrace on Level 81. The property offers a spa, 24-hour gym, and a partnership with the International Centre for Culinary Arts (ICCA) to support culinary talent.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Lumbini Heritage Limited to develop Crowne Plaza Lumbini, scheduled to open in 2026. The 147-key hotel will strengthen IHG’s premium presence in Nepal, catering to spiritual and MICE travellers. Located near Lumbini’s pilgrimage site and Gautam Buddha Airport, the hotel aims to set a benchmark for world-class hospitality.
Banyan Group is celebrating its 100th resort milestone with the grand opening of Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree and the launch of its first Rainforest Festival in Singapore. Running from 27 November to 3 December 2025, the festival will raise funds for the President’s Challenge, featuring a week of sustainable experiences, music, and community-led activities.
