A new community destination named BAY360 is coming to Jumeirah Lakes Towers, featuring a flagship Spinneys supermarket and a variety of waterfront dining options. Developed by DMCC and Sweid & Sweid, the project aims to improve the liveability of the district through better pedestrian access and modern lifestyle amenities. Scheduled for completion in 2027, the hub will occupy part of Lake D and include essential medical services and rooftop sports facilities.
2Life Communities has announced a formal leadership transition as Lizbeth Heyer prepares to take over as CEO this October. Heyer, the current President, was unanimously approved by the board to succeed Amy Schectman following a decade of service to the organisation. The change concludes a 15-year era of expansion that saw the provider's portfolio double in size.
Lithuanian developer Darnu Group has announced plans to invest EUR 80 million into real estate projects throughout 2026, marking an 84 per cent rise in funding compared to the previous year. The vast majority of this capital is earmarked for residential housing, with a primary focus on the expansion of the popular Sakai district in Vilnius and the launch of the ambitious Launagiai project. Outside of housing, the company is continuing work on major industrial infrastructure, including a state-of-the-art logistics hub.
Emirates Airline has confirmed a major land deal with Dubai Investments Park to build a massive residential complex for its staff. This multi-billion-dirham project will eventually house 12,000 cabin crew members across 20 modern buildings. The site is positioned perfectly between Dubai’s two main airports to support the airline as it grows and moves operations. Construction is due to start in just a few months with the first residents moving in by 2029.
Instone Real Estate has acquired a 12,500 m² plot in Unterschleißheim to develop a new residential quarter. The project will provide 180 apartments designed to meet high energy efficiency standards including a connection to local geothermal energy. Located in the northern Munich metropolitan area, the development forms part of a multi-generational campus initiative. The move aims to tackle the urgent need for housing in one of Germany's most economically vibrant regions.
Diriyah Company has finalised a major joint development deal with Midad Development and Real Estate Investment Company to create the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Diriyah. The project is valued at $827 million and will be located within the vast "City of Earth" masterplan in Saudi Arabia. This development includes a 159-room luxury hotel and high-end private residences covering over 235,000 square metres.
