Amsterdam-based startup Tebi has announced a fresh €30 million investment round led by CapitalG, the independent growth fund of Alphabet. The new funding arrives just six months after Tebi’s €20 million Series A, raising the company’s total capital to €56 million.
The latest financing reflects growing momentum for the young startup, which is rethinking how hospitality businesses operate with a unified, mobile-first financial system. The funds will go toward accelerating product development, expanding into new markets, and growing the team, starting with an official launch into the UK market this week.
Founded in 2021 by a team of Adyen alumni, Tebi is led by CEO Arnout Schuijff, a serial entrepreneur and former CTO and co-founder of the Dutch fintech giant. Schuijff teamed up with CTO Rob Vonk and was later joined by Aki Tas as COO and Patrick Studener as CCO, both bringing deep operational experience from companies like Notion, Wolt, and Uber.
Tebi’s software aims to replace the patchwork of tools traditionally used in hospitality, point of sale, payments, reservations, kitchen tickets, and more, by offering one integrated platform. Built with an accounting foundation and designed around the point of sale, Tebi provides real-time coordination between front and back-of-house operations and financials. Businesses can access tools like QR ordering, inventory management, and kitchen display systems all in one place.
The system has already seen significant adoption in the Netherlands, where it processes nine figures in annual payments. Tebi’s leadership believes the platform will unlock significant efficiency for independent hospitality venues, an industry long underserved by complex, disconnected tech stacks.
“Hospitality businesses are the lifeblood of our communities, yet they’ve been underserved by technology, especially here in Europe,” said Arnout Schuijff, co-founder and CEO of Tebi. “No one opens a restaurant or store because they love paperwork and integrating tools; they do it for the passion of serving people. It’s a privilege to build a world-class team devoted to empowering European business owners to free up time to focus on the craft and customers they cherish.”
CapitalG’s Partner Alex Nichols echoed the sentiment: “We are thrilled to partner with Tebi as they build the operating system for hospitality businesses. Even though most small business front and back office workflows revolve around payments, three-quarters of Europe’s SMB payments are disconnected from software. By unifying these disjointed systems, Tebi is bringing greater efficiency and visibility to small business owners’ daily work. Arnout and his team combine focused customer centricity, speed, and unique founder-market fit. We couldn’t imagine a better team to pursue this massive opportunity.”
Restaurants like Michelin-starred Zoldering are already seeing the impact. “Tebi has not just replaced our old systems; it has enabled a new way of working by unifying our data, streamlining communication between front and back of house, and offering the flexibility to adapt workflows to our specific needs,” said Tomas and Job from Zoldering.
With 35 employees today, Tebi plans to double its headcount by the end of 2025. The company is actively hiring in both Amsterdam and London, with open roles across engineering, product, and operations.
