MIDAR for Investment and Urban Development, the master developer of “Mostakbal City” and “MADA” in New Cairo, has entered into a partnership with Sixth of October Development and Investment Company (SODIC) to develop a comprehensive residential community within “MADA”, with total investments reaching EGP 110 billion.

The announcement was made during a press conference held in “Mostakbal City”, attended by Major General Eng. Amir Sayed Ahmed, Chairman of MIDAR, Eng. Ayman ElKousey, CEO and Managing Director of MIDAR, Eng. Fahad Abdullah Al-Mahmood, Executive Vice Chairman of SODIC, and Eng. Ayman Amer, General Manager of SODIC. The event also saw participation from board members, industry representatives, and members of the press.

As part of the agreement, SODIC will develop a 500-feddan plot in “MADA” under a revenue-sharing framework. The collaboration aligns with MIDAR’s mission to create integrated, modern urban environments that address the evolving demands of contemporary living. The deal also carries strategic importance, as SODIC is 85.5% owned by Aldar Properties and ADQ, two of Abu Dhabi’s leading real estate and investment entities, further reinforcing Egypt-UAE economic ties.

Eng. Ayman ElKousey remarked that the partnership reflects MIDAR’s success in attracting regional and international investors through its comprehensive urban development strategy. He highlighted that this represents MIDAR’s second major collaboration within “MADA” in less than eight months, following a previous partnership with Emaar Misr.

ElKousey said the company’s dedication to ongoing progress continues to build confidence among major developers and investors. He described the new venture with SODIC as “a new strategic move that adds significant value to Egypt’s urban development landscape.”

SODIC’s General Manager, Eng. Ayman Amer, commented, “We are pleased to partner with MIDAR on a new 500-acre development in MADA, one of Egypt’s leading fifth-generation cities. This partnership supports SODIC’s expansion strategy in East Cairo, where we have operated since 2008 with over 5,000 units delivered across three major projects, alongside our ongoing SODIC East development in partnership with Heliopolis Housing & Development.”

He added, “This collaboration marks a new milestone for SODIC, creating an integrated urban community that reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable neighborhoods, where wellness serves as the foundation not just an amenity. We are proud to contribute to national projects and the country’s urban development strategy.”

“MADA” is MIDAR’s latest city and one of Egypt’s key fifth-generation developments. Covering 5,800 acres, approximately 25 million square meters, the city is strategically located in New Cairo, close to the Administrative Capital and Cairo International Airport. It is also well connected to vital transport networks, including Al Amal Axis, Cairo-Suez Road, the Regional Road, and the Middle Ring Road.
