UAE master developer Arada has acquired a prime land site in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast to build an AED5 billion twin-tower residential scheme. The project marks the company’s first development outside New South Wales and its largest commitment in Australia to date.
Construction will be undertaken by Roberts Co, Arada’s tier-one construction subsidiary, following its acquisition by Arada Group in 2025. The project is scheduled to finish before the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, an event expected to drive long-term residential housing demand across South East Queensland.
Designed by Plus Studio, the scheme consists of two towers joined by a landscaped podium and contains 952 residences ranging from one to three bedrooms. Shared amenities include a lagoon pool, lap pool, fitness centre, sauna, steam room, mist room, infrared room and salt scrub area. Residents will also have access to communal terraces, private dining rooms, a library, lounge areas, work spaces and around 1,200 square metres of ground-floor retail and hospitality premises.
Located directly opposite the Gold Coast Convention Centre, the Broadbeach plot offers immediate access to the local light rail network. The position sits within walking distance of Pacific Fair Shopping Centre and The Star Gold Coast.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said: “Broadbeach is a world-class address that gives us the canvas to create a community of exceptional design and lifestyle quality that genuinely enriches the daily lives of the people who call it home. This is our first development outside New South Wales, and it reflects our growing ambition to grow in key urban markets around the country. Delivering this project through Roberts Co, our own tier-one construction business, means we can bring the quality, pace and accountability that our buyers expect.”
Population growth, interstate migration and major regional infrastructure investments continue to drive housing demand on the Gold Coast. Since entering Australia in 2024, Arada has built a domestic pipeline of eight projects totalling over 5,000 homes.
Outside residential real estate, Arada’s Australian holdings include investments in Brooki Bakehouse and the UAE master franchise for Boost Juice. The group also manages fitness operator Formative, which it intends to launch internationally. Globally, Arada oversees a portfolio valued at AED130 billion, encompassing more than 55,000 homes across the UAE, Australia and the United Kingdom.
