Sun Group and the People’s Committee of Nghe An province held a groundbreaking ceremony on 19 August 2026 for a new residential, commercial, and service complex in the heart of Truong Vinh ward.

The development represents a total investment of over 8,723 billion VND. Positioned on plot HH01 at the Customs roundabout, the site sits adjacent to major thoroughfares Le Hong Phong and VI Lenin. It is situated 7km from Vinh Airport, 3km from Vinh Market, and under 1km from both the Nghe An Provincial Administrative Centre and Ho Chi Minh Square.

Covering more than 3.7 hectares, the complex features five residential towers reaching heights of up to 39 stories. The site includes a two-level underground parking area spanning 74,000 m2 to address local parking demands. A podium covering roughly 30,000 m2 across one to three stories will provide retail space, while the residential towers will deliver around 3,500 apartments for over 6,000 residents. Additionally, 10,650 m2 of land, representing nearly 30% of the site, is designated for green space.

Design plans outline a radial structure with expanding green belts around a central public square. Walkways, landscape zones, an outdoor library, café spaces, community areas, and public art pieces are integrated into the footprint.

Addressing attendees at the event, Mr Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Nghe An province, outlined local expectations:

“Nghe An province expects that, upon completion, the project will create a modern architectural highlight, giving a new look to the landscape along the Le Nin Boulevard; contributing to urban beautification, creating jobs, increasing revenue, and effectively utilising land resources. More importantly, the project will create a high-quality living space with long-term value, meeting the urban development requirements of the province in the new phase,” said Mr. Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Nghe An province.

The initiative aligns with Nghe An’s strategy to serve as a growth hub for the North Central region, with Vinh designated as one of six key urban centres in provincial plans through 2030.

Mr Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group, detailed the corporate commitment:

“We will transform Sun Group’s first project in Nghe An into a modern complex, harmoniously blending commercial and service spaces, residential areas, and green spaces, built on a foundation of synchronised technical infrastructure, aiming to create a livable place for the people. Sun Group is committed to dedicating its best resources to implementing the project systematically, according to plan, ensuring quality, safety, and on schedule. The goal is for the Truong Vinh project to be not just a beautiful building, but an integral part of the new face of Vinh City,” said Mr. Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group, at the event.

The groundbreaking coincided with the Nghe An Carnival 2026 and public celebrations on 18-19 August organised alongside local authorities.
