Abu Dhabi has welcomed its first permanent floating hotel with the launch of the Orchid Overnight Superyacht, now docked at Yas Marina.

Operated by Dutch Oriental Megayachts, the vessel offers overnight stays on the water across 31 rooms, including 24 standard rooms, four VIP rooms, and three suites featuring private hot tubs. Room rates start from Dh990 per night, and the superyacht is also available for private events or full buyouts.

According to Yas Asset Management General Manager Jassim Albastaki, the floating hotel adds a new accommodation option to Yas Marina, complementing its existing restaurants, leisure facilities, and entertainment venues.

Dutch Oriental Megayachts General Manager Swapnil Patrikar explained that the location was selected for its easy access to both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as its proximity to Zayed International Airport.

Guests can enjoy standard hotel amenities including dining, concierge services, and a sun deck. From October 2025, the hotel will offer sundowner and dinner cruises along the Abu Dhabi coastline, providing a unique perspective of the city from the water.

The Orchid Overnight represents the UAE’s first permanent floating hotel, offering visitors to the capital a distinctive accommodation experience.
