Rotana has signed a deal with Zawaya Properties Company to debut its branded residences segment in Saudi Arabia. Located in Makkah, the project will deliver 240 serviced hotel apartments within the SAR 26 billion Thakher development. The project targets growing demand from pilgrims and long-stay corporate travelers under the Saudi Vision 2030 tourism expansion strategy.
The Snøhetta-designed Shanghai Grand Opera House will officially open on October 17, 2026. Commercial property specialist Transwestern has finalised the acquisition of Forte Real Estate Partners to grow its corporate footprint in the US Midwest. The corporate takeover brings 12 specialist tenant advisors into Transwestern's regional office in Minneapolis, alongside a commercial property portfolio spanning nearly 1 million square feet. Forte has overseen more than $885 million in transactions since its formation five years ago.
A joint venture led by global real estate specialist Kennedy Wilson has purchased the Carraway housing development in Westchester County for $237 million. The 421-unit Class A residential site in West Harrison was bought alongside Japanese partners Kenedix and Hulic. Situated 25 miles north of Manhattan, the complex features a mix of flats, structured parking and ground-floor retail units.
