Logistics and industrial developer CTP has launched its first branded site in Italy, CTPark Castel San Giovanni, with total planned floor space reaching almost 200,000 square metres. Located in the Piacenza province south-east of Milan, the hub sits within a major industrial zone serving key regional markets across Northern Italy, including Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna and Liguria.

The move marks CTP’s first branded park launch since entering the Italian market last year via the €241 million acquisition of developer VLD S.r.l. (“VLD”). The scheme forms part of a wider €1 billion investment strategy planned by CTP across Italy over the next five years.

The official launch follows the completion of a 52,000 square metre build-to-suit unit constructed for a major international logistics company. In addition, CTP is currently building a second bespoke facility measuring 113,000 square metres at the same site for a customer in the luxury market sector.

Built to Grade A standards, the development offers modern, energy-efficient space designed to meet evolving supply chain requirements and strict environmental targets. Under CTP’s developer-landlord model, assets are designed around client needs and then retained and managed internally over the long term.

Agostino Emanuele, Managing Director of CTP Italy, said: “The launch of CTPark Castel San Giovanni is an important milestone for CTP in Italy. It shows we are achieving what we set out to when we entered the country almost a year ago with the goal of developing and operating high-quality logistics assets tailored to the needs of our clients. CTPark Castel San Giovanni is an excellent example of our approach to delivering new buildings for clients based on strong partnerships, property quality and a long-term vision.”

The company has also established a new office in Rome as it plans further expansion across Central and Southern Italy. Alongside Castel San Giovanni, CTP’s northern Italian development pipeline includes CTPark Alessandria, CTPark Novara Sant’Agabio and CTPark Padova Vescovana. These projects reflect CTP’s commitment to building a nationwide network across one of Europe’s core industrial markets.
