IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Kleek Development to deliver Crowne Plaza New Cairo, a new 250-key hotel in Egypt. Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2031, the property will be located in the Sixth Settlement district of New Cairo. Kleek Development operates as a joint venture between Emaar Al Delta for Contracting and Real Estate Investment and Modern Style Home Real Estate Company.

The property is situated along a mixed-use corridor in East Cairo, a rapidly expanding commercial and residential hub supported by ongoing infrastructure investments and demographic growth. The new hotel will feature a combination of guest rooms and suites, along with four dining options, including an all-day dining venue, a lobby lounge and a bar. For business events and functions, the venue will provide six meeting spaces, including dedicated meeting rooms and a ballroom.

The design will integrate brand features such as the Plaza Workspace lobby concept and WorkLife Room layouts designed for work, rest and relaxation. Guests will also have access to a swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and retail areas. The signing adds to IHG’s active presence in Egypt, where it currently operates 10 hotels alongside 28 projects in its development pipeline.
