Leading Iberian real estate developer Kronos Homes has announced the launch of its inaugural mixed-use tourism project in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.
The development, named MIMA, is a €150 million complex situated in the modern Parque das Nações district. The project is described as an innovative residential development. It is positioned next to the Tagus River, offering a prime location just minutes from the city centre and Lisbon Airport.
A central part of the development is MIMA Living, a collection of 180 residential apartments housed across two 14-storey buildings. MIMA Living apartments range from 40m² to 107m². Prices for one-bedroom units start from EUR 405,000, with two-bedroom apartments beginning at EUR 595,000. Phased payment terms are offered until 2028.
The design of the apartments, executed by the international firm Broadway Malyan, is focused on flexibility. The concept introduces a new urban housing model to Lisbon, combining the comfort of a home with a dynamic hospitality offering. The development includes professional tourism management, giving buyers the option to generate income from their apartments when they are not in use.
MIMA Living also features extensive shared facilities. These include a multi-functional lobby, lounge and co-working areas, a fully equipped gym, two swimming pools for both adults and children, private gardens, and underground parking.
Beyond MIMA Living, the wider MIMA project encompasses a 51-apartment residential tower known as MIMA Residences. It also includes a Hilton-branded hotel operated under the Tempo by Hilton banner, which will be the brand’s first in Portugal. The entire complex is arranged around a landscaped square featuring retail and leisure areas.
Rui Meneses Ferreira, Partner and CEO of Kronos Homes, said: “The MIMA project reinforces our long-term strategy for Portugal and specifically for Lisbon. MIMA Living will raise housing standards and reinforce our vision of creating spaces that adapt to people and places. This project marks a new chapter for Kronos Homes and we are delighted to be establishing ourselves as a reference in terms of architecture and investment in Lisbon.”
Alda Filipe, Partner and Regional Director of Kronos Homes, added: “MIMA Living is the natural evolution of Kronos Homes’ tourist development success in the Algarve, which we’ve now adapted and applied to Lisbon. The apartments are designed to meet contemporary demands with a differentiating project for a generation that values flexibility, comfort and a cosmopolitan lifestyle, making MIMA Living ideal for those looking to live without worries and invest profitably.”
