A major new industrial and maintenance complex is being built in Dubai to help aviation businesses expand. The project has been launched by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), which is the aerospace platform of Dubai South. Managers stated that the scheme will help them deal with growing demand across the entire sector.
The new development will cover 24,900 square metres. It will feature 33 purpose-built units specifically designed to handle a wide range of aviation-related tasks. Operators will have access to modern and scalable spaces that focus on business efficiency. The units will also have flexible layouts, meaning companies can combine them if their operational needs change over time.
Construction teams expect to complete the Light Industrial and Maintenance Complex by the third quarter of 2027. It sits directly inside MBRAH, putting it in a strong position to assist aviation and aerologistics firms within the wider Dubai South network.
Tahnoon Saif, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, commented: “This launch reflects our commitment to supporting the aviation and aerospace supply chain sectors. At MBRAH, we continue to develop infrastructure that not only responds to current market demand but also anticipates future industry needs, enabling businesses to scale efficiently within a fully integrated ecosystem. Our efforts remain aligned with the vision of our wise leadership on further strengthening Dubai’s position as the aviation capital of the world.”
MBRAH gives international aerospace firms high-level transport links. It operates as a free-zone destination for top global airlines, private jet businesses, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) companies and related trades. Located in and developed by Dubai South, the site also contains dedicated maintenance centres alongside training and education campuses. The organization aims to strengthen engineering industries to back the emirate’s vision of becoming a leading global aviation hub.
