Abu Dhabi sovereign investor Mubadala Investment Company has formed a strategic partnership with US-based firm Together AI to explore artificial intelligence infrastructure opportunities across the UAE. The collaboration will see Together AI establish a physical presence in Abu Dhabi to bring its open-source model platform and compute services closer to regional developers.

The deal builds upon Mubadala’s previous $100 million participation in Together AI’s Series C financing round on 1 July 2026, alongside other global financial and technology investors. Under the agreement, Mubadala’s UAE Investments Platform and Together AI will work together to identify opportunities supporting the deployment and development of artificial intelligence in the country.

Founded in 2022 and headquartered in San Francisco, Together AI supplies a full-stack platform covering inference, accelerated compute and model shaping. Its research-optimised systems enable businesses and developers to run applications using custom and open models.

The initiative aligns with Abu Dhabi’s strategy to construct sovereign capabilities across the artificial intelligence value chain and build technical expertise locally. By securing a base in Abu Dhabi, Together AI intends to make its research and inference tools accessible to creators across the UAE and the wider region, while aiding the national transition towards a knowledge-based economy.
