Texas-based property firm REEP Residential has confirmed the appointment of Debbie Waitrek as its new Vice President. The move is intended to strengthen the company’s management operations and improve the living standards across its various communities. Waitrek joins the executive team with more than 30 years of experience in the real estate and property management sectors.
Throughout her three-decade career, Waitrek has managed a diverse range of housing assets. Her portfolio includes conventional apartments, affordable housing, senior living facilities and new lease-up developments. Before joining REEP, she held leadership positions at several prominent firms. These include Summit Property Management, RPM Living, Asset Living and Capstone Real Estate Services. Her primary focus in these roles involved identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing systems to improve property performance.
Waitrek is also a well-known figure in industry advocacy. She served on the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Apartment Association for 13 years. Additionally, she has spent over 12 years as a Delegate for the Texas Apartment Association. She currently holds positions on the Executive Committee at the Texas Apartment Association and serves as Vice Chair on the Affordable Committee at the National Apartment Association.
Founder of REEP Residential, Jacob Garza, stated that Waitrek brings a rare combination of deep operational expertise, industry leadership, and a passion for developing high-performing teams. The company expects her arrival to lead to better maintenance response times and clearer communication for residents. Waitrek will also focus heavily on mentoring on-site staff, including leasing agents and technicians.
“I look forward to mentoring and training our talented team, sharing my expertise, and contributing to the continued success of REEP Residential,” Debbie shared upon accepting her new role. The new Vice President holds a degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Her appointment comes as REEP Residential seeks to expand its management services while maintaining high housing standards throughout Texas.
