Egypt has secured partnerships with US, UK and French firms for the $1 billion Mont Galala project in Ain Sokhna. The development features 10 towers and a 150-berth marina. Construction begins in late 2026 with a seven-year completion timeline. CapMan Real Estate and Scandic have completed the full refurbishment of the historic Hotel Laajavuori in Finland. The project involved two phases of work to modernise guest rooms and public areas while preserving the building's 1970s architectural identity. Significant environmental upgrades, including 71 geothermal wells, have slashed energy use and shifted the property to entirely carbon-free energy sources.
Corinthia Hotels has teamed up with RoundShield and Kervis SGR to launch a 58-key luxury resort in Lake Como. Set to open in 2028, the property will be located in Menaggio next to Italy's second-oldest golf course. Hilton and Extell Development Company have officially signed an agreement to debut the Waldorf Astoria Deer Valley Resort and Residences in 2028. Located in the newly developed East Village in Park City, Utah, the project offers premier ski-in, ski-out access next to the resort's longest ski run. The development features 132 hotel rooms and 105 luxury branded residences designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and AvroKO. Amenities will include a 15,000 square foot spa, a cantilevered pool and the iconic Peacock Alley lounge.
