CPP Investments, Dream Unlimited Corp. and Dream Industrial REIT have completed the CAD 585.8 million acquisition of a 2.1 million-square-foot industrial portfolio in the Greater Toronto Area. The deal brings total deployment for their Canadian industrial joint venture to more than CAD 1.4 billion, approaching half of its CAD 3 billion total investment target.
CPP Investments and Brookfield Asset Management have launched the Maple Fund, a joint scheme targeting up to C$50 billion in equity investments. The five-year venture aims to fund major Canadian infrastructure projects and strategic industries. Each partner will supply up to C$25 billion on an equal split, targeting large-scale initiatives valued over C$5 billion while allowing third-party investor participation on select projects.
