Marriott International has signed an agreement with PHC Queenstown Limited to debut the St. Regis brand in New Zealand. The luxury hotel is expected to open in late 2027 with 145 rooms and suites. Located in central Queenstown, the property will offer views of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables. This project marks the first St. Regis in the country and continues Marriott's expansion in the Pacific.
Stonepeak has confirmed a significant investment in the Australian retirement provider Aura Holdings. The deal involves up to A$1 billion in available capital through the investment and a development facility with domestic lenders. This funding will support Aura’s growth and its pipeline of new projects across Queensland. It marks Stonepeak’s second major move in the Australasian retirement sector following its 2024 acquisition of Arvida Group in New Zealand.
EQT, through its BPEA Mid-Market Growth Partnership, has agreed to become the majority investor in PropertyMe, a leading Australian and New Zealand cloud-based PropTech platform. Founded in 2013, PropertyMe is the largest property management software provider in the region, used by over 6,000 agencies to manage approximately 1.9 million rental properties and transact nearly $40 billion annually. The investment will support PropertyMe’s continued growth, focusing on product innovation, AI features like AiMe, and potential geographic expansion.
MRI Software has acquired Melbourne-based Proptech Labs in a deal that will expand its property management technology across Australia and New Zealand. The integration will enhance MRI Property Tree and Palace with advanced automation, inspections, and key management capabilities.
EVT Limited has launched EVT Connect Hospitality, its new third-party hotel management platform, with the acquisition of Pro-invest Group’s hotel management arm. The deal covers 15 hotels across Australia and New Zealand, totalling 3,200 rooms.
