UAE developer Arada has entered Syria through a joint venture with the Syrian Sovereign Fund to construct a $7 billion (AED 25.7 billion) megaproject in New Damascus. Covering four million square metres, the master-planned development will deliver 11,000 homes alongside commercial, healthcare and educational facilities. The agreement represents one of the largest foreign real estate commitments in the country to date.
Saudi Arabia and Syria have signed a series of strategic investment agreements covering aviation, telecommunications, and infrastructure. Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih led a high-level delegation to Damascus to meet with President Ahmad Al-Sharaa. The deals include a major redevelopment of Aleppo International Airport and the creation of a new joint airline with Flynas. UCC Holding has signed five consultancy and design agreements with international firms as part of a multi-phase redevelopment of Damascus International Airport, a project expected to boost passenger capacity to 31 million annually.
