Vingroup has officially started construction on Vinmec Can Gio International General Hospital, located within the Vinhomes Green Paradise urban development in Ho Chi Minh City.

Created in strategic collaboration with Cleveland Clinic, the hospital is set to operate as a premier medical tourism hub across Asia. The 7.4-hectare development will house 500 beds and is designed to handle approximately 500,000 outpatient visits each year. Doors are expected to open in December 2027.

The layout, workflow and clinical operations have been structured directly alongside Cleveland Clinic to integrate standards across its network of 23 hospitals and more than 300 worldwide facilities. The facility will also target Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation to ensure rigorous patient safety protocols.

Key operational areas will include Obstetrics and Paediatrics; Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation; Emergency and Intensive Care; Geriatrics; alongside Preventive Medicine. Specialised Cardiology and Oncology departments will act as dedicated Centres of Excellence using multidisciplinary approaches. The hospital also intends to pioneer longevity medicine by applying ageing research directly to preventive clinical care.

Human resources will blend domestic and international specialists, supported by continuous training, clinical updates and case consultations through the Cleveland Clinic Connected network.

The project follows previous integrations into the Cleveland Clinic Connected network by Vinmec Times City in 2023 and Vinmec Central Park in 2025. Once open, Vinmec Can Gio will offer an integrated care model combining clinical treatment, preventive screening, rehabilitation and resort-style relaxation.
