Developer Sun Group has expanded its property presence in Da Nang with the launch of Sun Saphia Residence, its first beachfront apartment project in the city. Located south of the city centre at the junction of Vo Nguyen Giap, Truong Sa and Nguyen Duc Thuan streets, the 30-storey tower sits 300 metres from the coast.
The scheme incorporates 30 above-ground floors and two basement levels, providing views across the Do Toa River, the Marble Mountains and My Khe Beach. Designed to blend contemporary architecture with traditional Champa sculpture, the building features curved rooflines inspired by Apsara dancers and a brick-red facade referencing the My Son World Heritage Site.
On-site facilities include a swimming pool, gym, yoga studio, spa, sauna, cafes, restaurants and ground-floor shophouses. Residents also have direct access to Son Thuy Beach, an opposite beach park and Huyen Tran Cong Chua Beach Park.
The development offers studios alongside one-bedroom plus one and two-bedroom layouts. A representative from Sun Property, a member of Sun Group, said: “As Sun Group’s first beachfront apartment project in Da Nang, Sun Saphia Residence not only honours local cultural values but is also positioned as a multi-functional asset, meeting the needs of both residential living, vacationing, and generating cash flow for investors.”
The release comes amid strong tourism growth in Da Nang. Accommodation providers recorded 15.86 million visitors in the first nine months of the year, up 26.4 per cent year on year. This included 7.73 million foreign tourists, a 28.7 per cent rise, and 8.13 million domestic visitors, up 24.3 per cent. Foreign temporary residences are projected to top 7 million by 2025.
Industry data from Batdongsan.com placed Da Nang’s third-quarter 2026 property return on investment at 4.5 per cent, ahead of Ho Chi Minh City at 3.4 per cent and Hanoi at 2.4 per cent.
Dr Nguyen Van Dinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Real Estate Association, said: “The policy of promoting the marine economy in conjunction with cultural and entertainment activities, along with the establishment of a Free Trade Zone and an International Financial Center, attracts a large number of high-quality tourists, experts, and international workers to Da Nang. This group of high-end service consumers is the driving force behind the systematic investment and exploitation of real estate along the coastal axis at a higher level.”
