Glider, a leading name in digital handover and asset information management for the built environment, has announced a major leadership transition with the appointment of Jayne Archbold as Chief Executive Officer and Richard Farnworth as Chief Revenue Officer. This announcement comes in the wake of Glider’s acquisition of EDocuments in 2024 and Sitedesk earlier this year, reinforcing the company’s position as a frontrunner in digital transformation within the construction and property sectors.
These strategic moves reflect a broader vision for expansion and innovation as Glider continues to cement itself as a key player in estate-wide asset intelligence and digital handover solutions. The arrival of Archbold and Farnworth signals a defining moment for the company as it enters a new phase of scale and global ambition.
Jayne Archbold steps into the CEO role with more than three decades of leadership in international software firms. Her 18-year tenure at Sage culminated in her role as CEO of the company’s mid-market European division. She later led global growth initiatives as CEO of Iptor/GENII and served as Chair at Notify Technology. Known for her ability to lead high-performing teams and scale software operations effectively, Archbold brings deep expertise and clarity of purpose to Glider’s executive leadership.
“Glider is uniquely positioned to set the standard for intelligent estate management. With an exceptional team, cutting-edge technology and a growing demand for smarter building information, we have a real opportunity to scale in the UK and globally. Our mission is to empower organisations to deliver exceptional value, efficiency and sustainability through complete asset intelligence. I’m delighted to join Glider at this exciting time and look forward to building on its strong foundations,” said Archbold.
Joining her at the top table, Richard Farnworth has taken on the role of Chief Revenue Officer. With over 20 years of experience at major enterprise technology companies including Oracle and Axway, Farnworth brings a strong commercial background and a customer-centric approach to Glider’s go-to-market efforts. He has previously worked alongside Archbold at Iptor/GENII, where he played a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and customer success.
“Glider provides building owners and operators with a unified, estate-wide platform that transforms fragmented asset data into actionable intelligence, enabling smarter decisions, regulatory confidence and sustainable operations for every property, old or new. The potential to create real, long-term value for our clients is immense. I’m excited to work alongside such a talented team to accelerate growth and help our customers unlock more value from their built assets,” said Farnworth.
As the company continues its expansion, continuity in leadership also remains a priority. Glider’s co-founder and outgoing CEO, Nick Hutchinson, will continue to play a significant role within the business. Transitioning to a new strategic position, Hutchinson will focus on supporting key customer relationships, exploring future M&A opportunities, and collaborating with Archbold on product innovation and long-term strategy. His continued involvement ensures that the company’s founding principles and deep industry knowledge remain at the core of its next chapter.
“This is a transformational moment for Glider,” explains Nick. “Having guided Glider from start‑up to industry trailblazer, Jayne and Richard bring the experience, energy and vision to significantly scale the business and I’m excited to continue working alongside them and the rest of the team to help shape the future of digital building information.”
