British asset manager Gresham House has reached an agreement to acquire Asia Clean Capital Vietnam Pte. Ltd. (ACCV Pte). The deal involves funds managed by the specialist firm following the incorporation of SUSI Partners into its energy transition arm. This acquisition marks a major transition for ACCV Pte as it prepares to scale operations in the Southeast Asian market.
The developer was established by Bruce Hicks and has become a prominent name in Vietnam’s commercial and industrial renewable energy sector. The company currently manages a portfolio of operating assets and a significant pipeline of future projects. It primarily serves multinational manufacturers looking for reliable and decarbonised power. Following the completion of the sale, Mr Hicks is expected to leave his current role.
The investment comes at a time of rapid economic expansion for Vietnam. The nation is seeing increased foreign investment and a rise in export-led industrial activity. This growth has led to a surge in electricity demand. In response, the Vietnamese government is implementing new policies such as Direct Power Purchase Agreements and the integration of battery energy storage systems.
“This transaction validates the strength of the platform we built,” said Bruce Hicks, Founder. “ACCV Pte has a proven team, strong client relationships, and clear growth visibility. Gresham House brings long-term institutional capital and deep experience in sustainable infrastructure investing. With Gresham House’s support, ACCV Pte is well positioned to scale its operating portfolio, expand its development pipeline and capitalize on emerging opportunities in Vietnam’s rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape.”
Wymen Chan, Head of Energy Transition, Asia, at Gresham House, commented: “ACCV Pte represents exactly the type of platform we seek to back — a disciplined, market-leading team operating in a structurally high-growth environment. Vietnam’s rapidly expanding industrial sector, rising energy demand, and supportive renewable energy policy create an outstanding growth backdrop. We are excited to back the team to expand the business, deepen client relationships, and deploy long-term capital into high-quality clean energy assets.”
Gresham House intends to work with the existing management team to increase the company’s operating capacity. With access to new capital and infrastructure expertise, the firm aims to play a central role in the regional transition to clean power.
